I was running a few errands the other day when I made a routine stop for a bite. As I got closer to the restaurant, I saw this girl out in front doing some fundraising. I was too hungry to be stopped… and here’s what happened.

So all in all, it wasn’t such a bad thing that I ran into the fundraiser girl. Who knows how long I could’ve gone without noticing the wee spider? Which makes me wonder, how oblivious can I be during the other seemingly mundane settings in life?

Alex and I spent Friday night watching Goodbye Lenin. We finished at around half past midnight, and Alex suddenly realized it was the next day - my 32nd birthday. My last birthday, some of you may recall, went something like this:
